The classic Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, ref. 310.92.44.51.01.004features a case in polished-brushed black ceramic which retains the previous diameter of 44.25mm, as all the newcomers, but has a sightly reduced height of 15.09mm. The polished bezel is also made from black ceramic, with its tachymeter scale in the patented Liquidmetal. Beneath the box-style sapphire crystal, the polished ceramic dial, which is now stepped around the outer edge and has a laser-brushed finishing, includes a small-seconds display at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute and 12-hour counter at 3 o’clock, and a date window at 6 o’clock. All sub dials are slightly recessed, adding depth to the dial. The hour and minute hands, as well as the bevelled indexes and sub dial hands, are crafted white gold and filled with light green Super-LumiNova which admits a green glow in the dark. The central chronograph hand sports a red tip.
